The People in My Life

Here’ a little blub about the people that are very important in my life…

Josh- My husband, and my best friend. I love him to death. He’s a perfectionist, and takes his time to do things, which aggrivates me sometimes, but I love him, and don’t know what I would do without him in my life. (Just know that everything he works on turns out beautiful.) He is currently a journeyman and works for a telecommuication company, but is looking into getting back into IT very soon. He is a computer geek/whiz. I seriously don’t know how he lives with me. I am annoying and he puts up with alot of crap, but he his patient, kind, and is always there for me. I don’t know what I did to deserve the perfect husband, but I got him!

Ron- My daddy. We work together, and sometimes we are like a train wreck. We argue all the time, but I love him. I earned my “social butterfly” status from dad. Next to Josh, he is on the top of the list as being the most important man in my life. He will do anything for his family, and would give you the shirt of his back to help you out. I don’t know of a better father than my dad. I love him so much! Sometmes he is hard to take as a boss, but as a father, he is A-OK!

Ginger- My mama. She’s the strongest woman I know. She’s book smart, head smart, and knows everything about anything. She loves going to the farm in Utah and wouldn’t come home to California if it wasn’t for the fact she still has a house here. We butt heads alot, too, but I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She has always been there for me, and has given me many a swift kick in the rear when I needed it. And let me tell you, I have needed quite a few of em’ in my lifetime! She is a TV junkie too, just like me!

Annie- Annie Ree as we like to call her. My sister. She climbed her way to the top (of the horse), and has done some amazing things. She works in the Equine Department at Utah State University and works her tailfeathers off. She is a bit on the strange side, and has done some really weird things, but she is the best sister a gal could have. Annie just recently married Pat McAsey, and the two of them are a dynamite team! Annie hasn’t let anything stand in her way of doing what she loves. I think of Annie as the Bionic Woman, as she keeps going 100mph all the time and doesn’t seem to rest!

Pat- Annie’s husband. The Irish Warrior, the most diehard Notre Dame fan I have ever met (along with his dad)! Pat is awesome. He’s good natured, loving, funny, and a blast to be around. He has meshed into our family quite nicely. He’s a cowboy, wants to own a cattle ranch, and I truely believe he will someday. Pat just recently graduated this past May from USU with a degree in Animal Science.

Diane- Josh’s mother, my Mother-in-Law. She lives next door to Josh and I, and we love having her around. She is kind, loving, and has welcomed me into the Legbandt family with open arms. She has been a shoulder to cry on, and Josh and I like being there for her. She’s always bringing me home little presents from work. That means alot to me :)

Ben- Ben is Josh’s younger brother. He just recently graduated from UCSD with a BS in Political Science, and would like to work in local politics. He is a kick azz waiter, a cocktail connoisseur, and a great mediator. He always remains neutral in times of turmoil. Nickname= Switzerland. He’s a dreamer, and it’s good to know one of those.

Vanessa- Ben’s girlfriend. Ben and Vanessa have stayed together while both have trodded their way through college. Vanessa just recently graduated from USD with a law degree, and is studying this summer to take the bar exam. She is a great person to talk to, and is ready and willing to give advice when needed.

Anna- Josh’s younger sister, and my Sister-in-Law. This year, I have realized how much I value Anna and her friendship. She is a blast to hang out with, she loves to shop, and loves to complain about how fat she is even though she is beautiful! I think of her as an inspiration in my weight loss journey. She is in the USAF and is currently stationed at Aviano AFB in Italy. I love her so much, and miss her, and think about her every day.

Wayne- Anna’s husband. Wayne is a total Southern gentleman and the best way to describe his Southern charm is to say that he would lay his coat over a puddle in the street for ya.Just don’t try to eat his tiramisu. He is sweet, kind, and has the greatest Southern accent. He fits into the family so well, as his family is “interesting”, too. Wayne and Anna met in boot camp while training for the USAF. He works in weapons loading and is stationed with Anna in Aviano. He is also my roller coaster buddy since Anna is too chicken.

Dorian- My Monkey. He is Anna and Wayne’s son, and is 3 years old. While Anna and Wayne were in Saudi Arabia during the “Shock and Awe” part of the Iraq war, Dorian came to live with Josh, Diane, and I for about 4 months. He was just a baby. We threw him his first birthday party, and he learned how to walk while he was with us. He is a character, he is determined, and knows what he wants at 3. He can outrun the pants off of anyone, and likes to make faces like he wants to kill you, but he is the cutest damn little boy in the world, and I love him!

Carolyn (aka Loc)- My best friend. Carolyn is uptight, stressed, and crazy. Seriously. She works way to hard at everything, but is on her way to becoming an attorney. She is currently in law school at USC, and I hardly see her anymore, but she knows I love her to death. We have been friends for over 10 years, and she has seen me do some really stupid stuff, but she has stayed by my side through all of it. We’ve drank bad liquor, been to some bad places, and have met some really weird people (Home Deepot). She will always be in my life, and I am hoping she will support me with her salary one day. :)

Vanessa Young- Another best friend. Vanessa has gone through some serious ups and downs in her life, and we even went through a period where we didn’t talk for awhile, but I love her and she will never be out of my life. We have been poor together, drunk together, and damn near homeless together. We have scraped for change, begged for cigarettes, and spent alot of time doing pure nothing. I love her so much! She is preparing to get married in August to a wonderful guy named Tim McCollum who is so good for her! He treats her like a princess, and she deserves it.
