Another Great Weigh In!

July 20th, 2005

Let’s start off with an updated ticker…

It’s been a few days since I have posted anything, because, lets see….my world has been CRAZY!!! Vanessa is getting married on August 13, 2005, and as a bridesmaid, there is TONS to do! Vanessa, Jamie, Trudy (Van’s mom) and I spent all day Sunday driving to hell and back (by hell, I mean South Coast Plaza) looking for bridesmaid dresses.

For anyone in the SoCal area, FYI….the Jessica McClintock outlet in Huntington Beach is GONE!!! What will we do for cheap formal dresses? Pay full price? Hell no! Just shop online at Jessica McClintock for clearance stuff!

Anyways, I am proud to announce that Katie can now fit into off the rack dresses that are dress appropriate for someone that is 27 years old, and not 87 years old. My wedding dress will never be worn again because I am not the size of a tent anymore, and I don’t like it anyways. Jamie and I are wearing the same dress…my dress does NOT, and let me repeat DOES NOT have to be altered in any way because it already fits! This is a milestone for me. For my sister’s wedding, I had sleeves added because my arms were hideous, and I had to have the dress let out like 50 inches because I was so fat in the middle.

Y’all better get ready, because Miss Katie will be showing up to that wedding in a speghetti strapped dress with a wrap. Something she has NEVER tried before.

I had my last Weigh In on Monday (7/18) and it was fantastic (again). I am down another 3 lbs (check out My Stats to see the numbers) and I will hopefully be down another couple of pounds for the wedding. My last recorded weight was this morning (yes, I cheated a little) and I have lost a grand total of 42.8 lbs! Woo Hoo!

So on with the other big story of the day….

When I came home from shopping on Sunday evening, I walked into my living room to discover a little white dog sitting on my sofa. She looked like she owned the thing! I looked at Josh speechless, and he said “Kate, I rescued the dog; she hasn’t eaten in days, and she was being abused by the owner. And if they ever saw her again, they would kill her.” Well, how could I say no to that????

Her name WAS Rosie, but we have renamed her Roxy. We aren’t sure what kind of dog she is (some say part Chiuhuahua, some say Terrier), but all I know is that she is the sweetest little dog in the world! She is very attached to me, and I have had to bring her to work the last 3 days in a row because I am afraid of traumatizing her further by leaving her home alone. The rest of the funny farm is still getting used to her, but they will come around. We are definitely going to keep her….I will not let her go back home to her previous owners. She was filthy when she showed up, but we gave her a bath with mango dog shampoo, and have cleaned her up, and she is beautiful. She isn’t the cutest little dog in the world, but she won our hearts, and we love her.

What’s one more pet gonna hurt? We only have another dog and 4 cats! Please take a look at pictures of our new Miss Roxy. Her pics (along with the other animals) can be found in the Pictures section of my site found on the right hand side of the home page.

Until next time kiddies….
Kate
